Christina DeFranco is a movement and mindfulness specialist for aging bodies and people who struggle with chronic pain.

In addition to her 500-hour Yoga Certification and multiple continuing education certifications, Christina has a background in Psychology and Kinesiology. Her passion is teaching people how movement and mindfulness canĀ improve their quality of life.

After her grandmother suffered a second stroke and was placed in a nursing home, Christina spent every week between the impressionable ages ofĀ  7 - 16 years old being with older adults. It was through this experience that she found her passion for helping mature individuals maintain their independence.

Sheā€™s the founder of Rooted Tree Wellness Studio, a virtual studio that offers movement and mindfulness classes with many modifications and variations.

Christina was voted the #1 Fitness Instructor in York Region in 2021, and her Studio was voted the #1 Business that Gives Back for their work with the community.
